The Remodular Concept
The Remodular product is simple in concept. Design your own control panel, collect the components you need, and plug it all together.
For the first time, this can be done without code and without bespoke assembly. The base unit has the brains that enable it to emulate a keyboard, mouse or joystick; to process data from the host PC and send it to outputs; and to broker information inputs and the host with complex logic. As you plug in a new module – be it a rotary knob, a joystick, a 7-segment readout or a plain old big red button – the base detects the new capability, and lets you configure its behaviour via our intuitive configuration software.
Some of the logic you can access for your new controls includes:
- Emulate a keystroke, or a keyboard macro.
- Move and/or click the mouse or joystick.
- Set a variable in an (implicit or explicit) internal script.
- Run a command on the host computer and consume the result.
Change your app, or change your mind? Unplug, swap around, load a new profile and go.

Remodular is hacker-friendly. Going beyond our offerings to customize firmware and hardware is easy thanks to our code repositories, APIs, specs and hackable hardware (such as ‘blank’ modules, ready to be soldered and programmed).
